Went here today to fill out a paper and fax it. As I sat there filling out my paper, the librarian was telling at a lady about here late book. I mean literally telling at her. So rude. I felt bad for her. 10 minutes later my phone vibrated and it was my doctor's office informing me they sent my referral. I'm 6 months pregnant so moving fast is hard. I answered my phone said hello, ok thank you and hung up. After I hung up the same crazy librarian came charging at me telling no phone take it to the front lobby. I was clearly off the phone. I understand the rules but I did not offend or bother anyone. I was quite unlike the librarian, Kathleen. I then got up to use the fax which was out of order . Epic fail pompano.

Quaint little library, which tends to be a haven for Pompano's most eclectic characters. The library borders between old and antique, with the smells of old paper, and well-worn wooden bookshelves to match. The kids book section is well stocked, but on the whole the shelves are barely occupied, leading to wondering where the books have gone.

Typical library experience. Attracts the 35 and up populations. This is an older library in an older building so be prepared for the smells that come along with it. They have great customer service and parking is limied.

EDIT: This location is closing in favor of a modern update down the street, explaining the lack of books.

Good library. I would say it could use some updates, but they just built a new one that will open in the fall. They don't have a wide selection of fiction and nonfiction books for adults. They do have fast wifi and many tables with outlets.

I love every library; the smell of books always stirs my heart! As an only child growing up, I entertained myself with books of every kind, from poetry anthologies to a favorite book on Snakes & Reptiles. To this day when I enter a library, I fill my lungs with the smell of paper and ink and am filled with a happiness resulting from the voyages and adventures, the trips through time and space, the pleasure of being able to relate to a man's experiences and a woman's point of view, to learn to create things, visit other countries without ever leaving home. Books open up worlds. I'm especially excited about the Tiny Libraries popping up here and there in the world, making books available in extraordinary places where they can change lives!
