It definitely needs to be cleaned up. There are alot of people there and the upkeep of it is unacceptable.

I buried my uncle here today. I must say this has to be the worst cemetery I have ever seen in my 28 years. You should be ashamed of to even have a facebook fan page. Changing someone to place a family member at this cemetery should be a crime, I won't judge because I don't have a heaven or hell to put anyone in. The commissioner for whoever is in charge of the maintenance of this cemetery. You are what is wrong with America at times holding a seat and turning a blind eye to something clearly wrong. Your hometown hero Esther Rolles is out there and it still looks like trash. I'm ashamed of Pompano Beach for having the cemetery that looks like that.

The cemetery doesn't deserve ANY STARS!!!! The way this place look doesn't make any sense at all, it's really unacceptable and very/highly disrespectful!! This cemetery need to be taken over by the city of pompano, don't know why it hasn't been done yet. It's been complaints about this cemetery over 20+ years, and nobody isn't seem to be concerned about any of this. The grass needs to be cut, and half of the time it isn't cut properly at all. The supposed to be cemetery grounds crew (are drunks or on drugs), aren't even experience to work a backhoe! Running over vaults and cracking them and the headstones on top. Don't bother to replace what they broke in the first place. If you don't go out there to bust your butt, in looking/cleaning up/checking everyday! Your love one will end up in an unmarked grave out there. It's a lot of cover ups being done out there, broken vaults aren't being removed/replaced. Some are so badly, you can see inside of the vault (casket is showing, or the body itself). It's a broken vault lid on one grave, has another vault lid on top of the broke one and it isn't even sealed! Didn't bother to remove the old broken vault lid, just straight up nasty and lazy. I can go on for days about a lot of the things out there, but you can see them for yourself. So much have been covered up instead of being actually fixed. What you do in the dark does come to the light! It's people staying out there in what once, used to be a bathroom. Now it's a live in house? The owner is a joke want people to help paint vaults, um that's what you got grounds man workers for, put them to work (how about hiring some real professional drug free men/women)! That's not anyone job to paint vaults out there, unless it's your love ones you're doing it for!! The veterans aren't recognized out there neither, this year memorial day was unacceptable. Some people came out there to only, put flags on loads of graves. Going into the main entrance of the cemetery, for decoration ONLY! For the little memorial day event that goes on out there each year. Flags was put on unmarked graves, babies, on people that aren't even veterans at all. Once it was over all the flags were gone, no flags in the honor of the veterans. The place is a disgrace all together.... This is the last place you should want to put your love ones. Pay the money and put them in a less stressful/well upkeep cemetery!

the cemetary needs to be better maintained, People have loved ones friends etc that are buried there and its an upmost disrespect to have them out ther like that.

the great Esther Rolle is buried here and this place ain't "dynomite."
